Pleasant and wonderful hotel located just next door to sea and the harbour, the centre of the heart of the Cidade Do Funchal, and oceanside. Separate bedroom. Large private bathroom. Its location lovely in the Taverna restaurant was marvellous and stunning. I was upgraded to a huge classic twin room on the lower floors. There was lots of food for breakfast, it was outstanding.

The location was easy and incredibly comfortable for me as it was short walk to many other dining places, the cable cars to the gardens and Reid's Palace which is three times the price. They upgraded me to an a nice size and extremely pleasant room with a relaxing view to a sea view.

The place was relaxing and had hard-working and friendly efficient staff from check-in to check-out, appreciated the stay. The hotel's location was absolutely perfect, so close to The Botanical Gardens, the cruise ship pier, Funchal Bay & hillside, and the ocean and a supermarket and gift shops. Also, the venue was just 1 km from a historic fortress. The twin room didn't seem appealing on photos but it was brand-new with balconies.

This was my 2nd stay, they offered classic family room with seaview. The hotel was set in a central area next to Madeira and Pestana Carlton, a cruise ship, and the sea side. Moreover, it was near Saint Mary's Cathedral.

By and large, it was chilled-out base for sightseeing in Funchal, had much fun and met outstandingly accommodating staff from check-in to check-out. I ate at a fabulous restaurant for dinner. The beds were large, view over the ocean was pleasant. The location in a shopping area was marvellous and there were a market and gift shops nearby. Moreover, it was 2 km from a large castle. This pleasant and wonderful hotel had a very central setting to the center of Funchal by bus or on foot. Moreover, it was adjacent to many restaurants and shops, sea front and side, and the cruise ship pier, Funchal Bay & hillside, and the ocean. The room was excellent sized and airy with beautiful views, the 2 late teenage children, as for instance and the breakfast was rich. An excellent shower and a tub were very handy.
